Outfit of the day: Red and Black Brocade & Silk Sari with Kundan Earrings

Bonjour!! My lovely ladies!!

Hope the first month of the year is treating you well, hope all those who have resolutions are still sticking hard to them; all those weight loss plans are intact and the zeal is gushing full swing ….!! J

For most of us, this is the month of reflection, anticipation, of making plans, scratching plans, of counting blessings, hopes and even fears. Isn’t it?

For me this month is the start of love, flashing memories and ne
w fresh plans. Well the reason is, I tied knot with my beloved three years back in the same month. So January in all its form is special for me.

Remember in my last saree post I was telling you all about my anniversary. It was on the 20th of this month and I started to make plans to make this moment a memorable one, a month in advance.

So finally the hard work didn’t pine away and the day turned out magical for us.
Without further a delay, today I am sharing my anniversary outfit with you all here.  Hope you’ll equally love it as I did.
I wore a customized Sabyasachi Sari gifted to me by my beloved husband, sometime before our anniversary.

Floored?!? Aren't you? ;)  I know half of the million women in this world want to own a Sabyasachi ensemble. Me being a self-confessed Sari Fanatic, this was an absolute dream come true, doesn’t matter if this is just the basic one but I was truly happy.

MAKE UP: Yes, I did make up this time. A little bit of Clinique foundation for the base all over my face followed by the blush to add the tint of pink on my cheekbones. I wanted a dramatic lippy shade so I wore Red Bourjois Rouge Edition Lipstick.

HAIR: I love rollers! You can see the result bouncing on my shoulders ;) my pom pom tresses J (later made a lazy bun myself)

JEWELLERY: Keeping the jewelry as minimal as I could, I preferred wearing my most favorite traditional Kundan Red and Black uncut diamond Baliyaan. (Luckily it exactly matched my sari)

To my disappointment the breath of the sari was too less. When I tried wearing heels over it, it made me look funny. So I opted to go with flats. I chose to wear bronze beaded flats which, I normally wear with my regular ethnic wears.
I left the clutch and my bag in the car so it’s missing L

Hope you enjoyed the pictures, I know the next question arises about what place is it. It’s Magique, located in the gist of Garden of Five Senses in Delhi.  I was blown away with the beauty of this place. It’s a total worth if you’re planning a romantic dinner sometime with your beau. Do try this place.

  QUICK PONITERS ON OUTFITS:

·        Sari: Sabyasachi Ensemble, Mumbai
·        Jewelry: Wedding Jewelry
·        Shoes: Mochi
·        Bracelet: Amrapali
·        Watch: Fossil

I have also added picture with my hubby beloved. No outfit details for him as he is the most random and freewheeling dresser ever. lol

Hope you’ll enjoy this post. Feedbacks are most welcomed!

Keep Shinning and keep pampering yourself!
Love

Product Review : Victoria’s Secret Good Day Sunshine Body Cream

Victoria’s Secret Good Day Sunshine Body Cream

Hello Everyone I am Mamta Aka MSD thanks to my dad and hubby for helping me have this awesome initial after the legend Mahindra Singh Dhoni! Wink wink ;) I am sure most of us know Victoria Secret ;) if not for the creams but for the exotic designer innerwear for sure. Ooh lala!!!
However I have not tried many VS’s products but this decision surely came out right to me. So let’s take a quick review:

What the product claims:

Missing summers ? Blue Skies? Sunshine’s? Here is the potpourri with bright peach and blue freesia which will take you there. As a standard Victoria Secret tag this crème is sensuous and instantly lifts up your mood with its scent. This product is infused with the signature trio of skin-nourishing botanicals: antioxidant white tea, moisture-rich rice and white lily milks for healthy-looking skin.

How to use:

Apply an application after bath. Focus on elbows and knees, you’ll really find the product rewarding for people with dry and patchy skin. Give yourself a fine massage all over body and Voila! You have a silky smooth and vivacious body! Tantanaaaaa!!!

My Take on the Product:

Its chilling cold in Delhi and nothing seems like to work on my gonzo dry skin but all thanks to Good day Sunshine as it’s a perfect smooth thick crème which worked wonders on my skin.
The first whiff that hits your nose is that of a medley of summer flowers. The fragrance is very soothing. I have not used this on my face, but I have used it on the body and hands. It leaves behind a very mild fragrance post application and makes my dry skin, soft and supple. It does not give an oily feeling, of course this is a cream, so it is greasy for a while, but it is very hydrating and get absorbed. I use this roughly twice a day, once after a bath and once before sleeping as quite honestly it’s expensive to be used regularly.

Price:

It is available online at the price of INR 810 for 200 mlPrice in dollars: $ 12

Packaging:
Good Day sunshine Body Crème comes in a slightly opaque, flip - open tube which has beautiful illustration & logo on it. Quite sturdy and hygienic packaging unlike the tub ones.

Ingredients:

Pros:

Travel Friendly packaging
Moisturizes well in winters
No sticky or greasy feeling after use
Keeps the skin hydrated

Cons

No Sunscreen
Few may find it a bit expensive but the product justifies the price
Fragrance does not stay for more than 2 hours
Not easily available in India so availability may be an issue but can be purchased at few majo online shopping websites.
Contains Parabean

Bottom Line:

This sumptuous body crème is perfectly scented, hydrating and absorbs fast. It's a treat from Victoria’s Secret for all the mild floral smell freaks and people endured with dry skin. You’ll love the radiance it’s given upon application. I think I will opt for it once again.

Hope you enjoyed the review:)

Have an awesome day ahead !!

xoxo

What a lazy Day it is !

Seriously! what a lazy day it is. Delhi is freezing, never that I imagined that the weather is going to reach 1.5 degrees. Hard to believe isn't it ? but its true.
Imagine how are we poor souls managing to wake up for work in this weather, how are we going work ? and how are we going out. ...Arrrgghhh. If the temperature has dropped this low then no wonder its about to snow next year in Delhi.

Winters !! i hate you like i love you.

I am dozing off at my work station, have nothing much to do. Done with today's workload.
I wish I could leave a lil early for home, to enjoy that perfect cup of tea in my most favorite corner of my house - my balcony. I am right opposite to the swimming pool not a very great sight but isn't that bad either, but I still wish there could have been some little more plants and greenery at this place.

Office is so boring without any work so thought of playing around with my laptop camera. Not a bad idea it seems.

Here is a lazy photo shoot of today and many other such lazy days.
